Mine said 100.

I still don't understand the time stamps on these LJ postings, but at about 5 PM Central my cousin the pilot checked his weather info (as a pilot he is always following that) and said it is officially 100 at DFW. I was out driving around 4 PM from Lewisville back to Grapevine and I swear my car thermometer said 107. I also heard some reports on the news about brownouts in parts of the metroplex because apparently the electric utilities weren't prepared for temps to be quite so high today.

It is a bit warm for mid-April, isn't it? Still, I will take this heat over the cold and damp of Seattle (rainforest?) any time!

O___o

Hehe, it's only 13 degrees C up here in Ottawa, Canada XDDD

[identity profile] tekenduis.livejournal.com 2006-04-18 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
I just translated that to Celcius, because Fahrenheit does not computer. Of course, being a Canadian, it tells me that this is about 37C, which doesn't compute EITHER.

Ye GODS.

[identity profile] tekenduis.livejournal.com 2006-04-18 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
I have to add that I especially enjoy the "Feels like 94F" (which google chews on for a moment and then tells me is about 35C) because that is so much better.

Sounds lovely.

Once winter ended the ten minute walk from my parking spot to the building didn't seem so long. Now it's long again.

Yeah, we've been in the 90s too. WRY. Worst part is, it's all uphill from here. Hello, 115 degree summers. I didn't miss you. *barricades self inside and cranks up AC*

[identity profile] cynthia1960.livejournal.com 2006-04-18 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
It's a shame that the weather gods couldn't divert a portion of our glut of water in Northern California your way. For a while, I was wondering if Seattle had assimilated the Bay Area.

whoa, that is scary.

I read this and all I can say? Be thankful for your AC.

I live only 45 minutes from D/FW so we're up there in the lovely nineties too. Except, my mom's some sort of crazy, insane idiot and refused to turn the AC on, AT ALL, until June. ...I'm gonna die before school even lets out, yo. T_T
