XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD That's awesome hehe, gotta love judges and their stupidity. All their brain cells got burnt earning their phD's...none left to actually make come to common sensical observations.

Judges usually have JDs (law degrees) rather than PhDs (doctorates).

Just so you know.

Haha. I am from Ohio, and that just makes me laugh. (Though it also makes me hope i never have to go to court.) Though it is true about our judges and our language. Many words aren't supposed to be used the way they are used.

How this probably went:

*fade into flashback*

Judge 1 (the folksy one): So then on the docket, we've got, heh heh, *then* we've got *The Cow Case*. Had that cow been PROPERLY SERVICED, that is what *I* want to know. Heh heh.

Judge 2 (the one who majored in English): Well, *I* really think this speaks to our conventional understanding of what a "motor" is -

Judge 3 (the one whose acid reflux is acting up): No, it doesn't.

Judge 2: Sure, sure - a motor is anything that converts energy into movement - the cow *eats grass* and *converts* it into -

Judge 1: - convert it to amblin' about, right - let's get the *dictionary* out -

Judges 2-7: *groan*

Judge 1: - I think we need the *dictionary definition* of a motor vehicle, I think - oh, see, the word "wheels" is in there! That cow have wheels, does it say?

Judge 3: ...it does not.

Judge 1: Well, seein' as there is no *indication* that the cow had any wheels on it - I want to write the opinion on this one - heh heh, wheels...

*end flashback*

Judge 2: And so that's why I surreptitiously peppered 3's omelet in the courthouse cafeteria.

*really end flashback*

This report based on *actual observations* of tired state judges. (Though the food sabotage was only discussed, never implemented. (And I think that was a law clerk, anyway.))
