(no subject)

I inked four and a half pages today. I think my hand is going to fall off.

Ond for once, the last page I inked is reaosnalby good - the most I ever did in a day before was three, and the last one SUCKED and I had to redo most of it.

o.O How do you re-ink something? It's INK.

(Unless you have high-quality images of your work on your computer and you print them and ink them? Although that defeats the purpose of inking them. Inking them digitally?)

There are many ways:

(a) if you're inking traditionally, you do not have to ink directly on top of the original pencils, you use a lightbox and ink on a clean sheet of paper or board.

(b) You can Xerox the pencils onto comic board or Bristol and ink them that way, or scan them in and print them onto a new sheet of paper or board. In these cases, you'd print/color Xerox in a color, usually light blue, so you cna drop the pencils off digitally and be left with black lines

(c) you can scan the pencils in and ink digitally

(d) you can do the entire thing digitally.

This particular project is being done entirely digitally, from the thumbnails to the pencils to the inks. WHich means the "pencils" and "inks" are just names I'm tagging to various drafts of the artwork.
