As I rambled about a bit in a previous entry, I ended up with more decants than I expected per scent - I'd thought I was going to get 2-3 extra per scent. I got 5-6. Woo. Anyway, this means they're up for sale to anyone who wants to try just a few scents.

This is going here in my journal for about 24 hours, then Friday night I'll post over in the alchemylab community.

:D I haven't done any official testing, but I rather like most of these. Ligeia seems to be the only one that made me go OH GOD NO, and most of the rest were "Hmmm. Interesting!" upon sniffing.

Can't promise no addiction, sorry. XD But Usher doesn't smell like a rotten fish. It's pretty nice - sort of masculine without being MAN SMELL. I don't think it's going to be something I'll wear, but I don't hate it.

Yes. Addiction will happen. But if you haunt the BPAL forums and the LJ communities, you can often pick up half imps for $1-2 each. Or hit eBay and see who's selling a group of imps that nobody seems to be bidding on.

And in the long run you don't lose *too* much money, because you can usually sell them for what you paid for them, or a bit less.

:D I've never actually posted there.

I think that I may order the Enraged Bunny Musk, which is one of their LE forum-only scents (found here (http://www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com/forumscents.html)) because the musk in it is white musk, and they don't do as awful on me as the dark musks do (you have to give them your forum nick if you buy them - hopefully they won't check to see how many posts I've made XD). I'm also tempted by the Beltane (http://www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com/limited.html) scent. I'm going to wait until the Lunacy, because while I expect I won't want Dragon Moon, they're bound to post some sort of other LE scents at the same time.

I'm waffling over The Pit and the Pendulum... I'd been wanting to try an incensy scent like Cathedral and the reviews say this is similar, but it's more a curiosity thing rather than thinking it would that work well on me...

I'd love a Montresor and Dorian -- even though I haven't worn perfume in months. Every so often I open my BPAL boxes, and each time the smell gets a little less revolting, so I am sure I'll be able to wear it all *sometime* again, once the hormones go back to normal.
