Kittyspam and BPAL decants
So when you buy The Perverse Parcel, which contains one of each of the Descent into the Maelstrom scents, you get one Imp of the Perverse, an imp of another limited-edition scent that is only available this way. Described as roses and cognac. Since I got two of the Parcels, I got two of the Imps. After testing one and decided that no, I wasn't going to exercise Decanter's Privilege and keep it, I was faced with the dilemma of who was going to get them. Random choice seemed to be the best bet, and because it would be really silly, probably at least somewhat random, and would provide amusing photos, I had the cat pick them.
So, if you're just dying to know who got the imps, you'll have to click here.
So here the cat is, innocently napping, unaware of the immense responsibility about to be forced upon her.

A little bit later. Note that she senses something's up: she's shifted so as to keep an eye on me.

Pretending to be going to sleep. But I am not fooled!

I wrote everyone's LJ name on a piece of paper, folded it up, and put it in a box, then shook it a lot to mix them up. Here it is, presented to the cat. She is studying the box intently, readying herself to choose the two who are best suited to the awesome position of Receiver of the Imp.

A consummate show-biz professional, she stretches the moment out a bit and vamps for the camera.

Quick as lighting, her paw snaps out and picks the first winner!

Milking the moment, and increasing the tension. The atmosphere is stretched so tight you could cut it with a knife.

And the crowd goes wild!

The winners?

So you didn't win? That's OK! Remember: WE ARE ALL WINNERS!
The imps are decanted, labeled, and packed, and will go out either Friday or Saturday, depending on when I can get to the post office. :D I went by poeple's requests for the frimps on the previous post, and I won't be telling you what I gave you becausethey're all packed now and I have no idea who's got what everyone needs a bit of dramatic tension in their life.

Now, see, if we tried that with ours, they'd wander away from the box, go stand on our computer, and accidentally hit the keys to bring up the name of someone involved, at which point we'd go nuts trying to figure out if they can actually type.

It took me longer than it seems form my little photo-essay. She spent a lot of time looking at the box and then looking at me, saying "Yes, and...?" And then I'd put my hand in and mess with the slips of paper, to draw her attention to them, and she'd look at my hand instead. And then she got annoyed that I took the piece of paper she batted, so I could see whose name was on it. XD
