BPAL decanting rambling...
I have watched disc 3 of Princess Tutu and half of Tsui Hark's Vampire Hunters while decanting, and my thumb will probably have a bruise on it from shoving the caps into the imps. And my left hand, the one that held the imps while I used the dropper to fill them - and sometimes accidentally overfill them, causing it to run down the side of the imp - now smells like Confusing Generic Cologne and the cat now hates it.
I have, while decanting all of these things, discovered the Dirty Little Secret of the decant circles - the ones that charge $5 and $6 for an LE imp, with shipping separate? Making scads of profit. The bottles cost $15 + shipping each, and I consistently got 7.5 imps out of each of them, much to my surprise. Well, the first scent I only got 7 imps out of each bottle because I was overfilling the imps, but once I panicked at the thought that if they were shipped in the hold of an airplane, the oil might expand and break the glass or leak and started filling them slightly less, 7.5 was the consistent number.
Which means I'm now feeling slightly guilty at the prices, since I figured them at 5 imps/bottle, but you're all getting at least one limited-edition imp as a freebie anyway, so I'm sure it all works out in the end. :D It's due to their new machine, I think - they got a machine that dispenses exactly 5 mL into each bottle, whereas before they were eyeballing, and with variations in the glass for the bottles, the actual amount could vary wildly. The two times I'd imped out a whole bottle before, I got 5-6 imps/bottle.
But next time I get a wild hair to do this, if I get enough people interested, I now know I can drop the prices even more, if the bottles are $15 each. :D
