A background from one panel of Project Blue Rose. I'm posting it here because it's going to be 75% covered up with the people in the foreground, and I rather liked it and wanted it to be seen.

I did the perspective with ComicStudio's tool to draw speedlines - I realized that I just had to put the tool where the vanishing points were, then draw in the horizontal lines of the room and furnishings. The perspective is slihgtly off here and there because I'd do that, go to the pic and draw some bits and bobs, and then realize I needed another major line in perspective and would have to eyeball the placement of the tool again - for some reason, it gets deactivated once I hide it to draw other lines (and you can't draw other lines with it visible). Maybe that's a bug fixed in the released version. *crosses fingers*

Speedlines for perspective? Man, there are so many things to Manga Studio, I wonder if the developers themselves know the power of the program! haha, back to practice with the program...

Using speed lines is a cool technique! I have a PS file with perspective templates on separate layers. I have a standard 2-point perspective grid (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v135/Tentopet/PerspectiveGrid.jpg), and by morphing it, scaling it, flipping it, or moving it, you can basically get any possible 2-point perspective you want. And then I have sort of an aerial-ish grid (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v135/Tentopet/PerspectiveGrid2.jpg) that only has slight vanishing points (like Hot Gimmick does lots of far-off aerial views to give you an idea of what i'm talking about). And then I have a 1-point perspective thingie and even converging vertical lines if I want ot add that in with my 2-point perspective grid, to make it 3-point perspective. Anywho, it's terribly useful. I keep the file open whenever I'm penciling because I use those grids so often.
