Again with the Manga Online!

Just a quick note to announce that I've written another article for TOKYOPOP's Manga Online March issue which is finally online after all the RSOM posting. They asked me to compare OEL manga to Japanese manga, and I did so, focusing on shoujo, because that's what I had the most of on my shelves. We're very scientific here at Camp Telophase.

Anyway, to read it, head over to Manga Online, sign in (it's free to register), and click Submissions, then How-To of the Month.

:D I havne't got much recently, and not up for more tonight since I went to the zoo (the second time n a week!) with a friend and am exhausted right now.

And, I just now realized, have forgotten to eat dinner. Huh.

Yay! I know it's ... uh... been a couple days since I requested kitty spam. My kitty just got back from the vet's. He was neutered, so he needed lots of mom comforting. (Not really, but I snuggled him plenty anyway...)

Oh my. Thanks for linking to me but really scanning a picture wasn't really that hard. I liked the article- even though I saw it here a while back.You can put things into words so much better than I ever could. I am glad it's out there on a popular website. I hope it encourages some aspiring manga-ka to try for the more whispy and liquid style, because that is one of my favorite things about manga.
Also- I didn't know you liked Hellsing. (I just recently watched the series.) I must have missed you talking about it.

Yah, I like Hellsing, but I don't talk about it much here because not too many other people on my friendslist talk about it. :D It's been so long since I watched the anime that I couldn't really discuss it very well, and the manga comes out slowly enough that I need to go back and reread it all to remember what the thread of the plot was besides "KILL NEONAZIS!!!"

Hey! Didn't I read this already? haha. Great article nonetheless. Definitely true about the balloon positioning, a lot of artists seem to be afraid to cover up their art with balloons. (myself included)
