Calling [profile] tprjones

Steven Brust is going to be the GoH at this year's AggieCon.

I'm going to have to pass that on t [livejournal.com profile] jconstantine, because he's a huge Brust fan. Now, getting him to leave his gaming group and, you know, go outside may be an issue, but I'll do what I can.

I know, I know!! But that would involve going somewhere and, like, leaving the house. I'm way too deep into hermit mode to do that, you know? My Netflix discs would get lonely. Not to mention my EVE Online character.

Plus, even with the dozens of conventions I've been to I've still never ever been to a sci-fi/gaming convention I didn't work at. I'm not registered to work AC37, so I would have absolutely no idea what to do with myself. What do con-goers do? I would be so very lost if I weren't busy working registration, kicking people out of places they shouldn't be, or just wandering around fixing problems.

But, on the other hand, it's Steven Brust!

What to do, what to do ...

You make it a day trip. :) You show up, get a one-day pass, follow Brust around to whatever panels he does, hit the dealer's room, then go home. :D

I haven't decided if I'm making AC this year or not.

You make it sound so simple. :p

It is!

Wow. *feels pull of AC* Too bad I'm in Minnesota, and too bad it's the same weekend as AnimeDetour(and yes, I will be cosplaying).

I'm love science fiction, but I always feel like I'll get around other sci-fi lovers and be really out of my league. I could talk a good game though, as I did take a science fiction literature course and wrote several short to long papers on the varying subjects. And of course, science fiction is a realm that deeply interests me. *pushes glasses up*

;_; Oh well, at least he's on LJ. *stalk-- er, follows*
