I know he's a respected actor with a long career on stage and screen, but it wigged me out to see him as Jean Valjean in the Les Miserables in Concert show on PBS, and it's gonna wig me out to see him here. "CHAIRMAN KAGAAAAAAAA!"

Everything looks good to me, except maybe the little sister looks a bit older? I think this movie may end up being pretty scary though.

I don't know if I'm going to be able to take Light's dad seriously whe he's played by Chairman Kaga ().

But the rest looks good. Matsuyama Ken'ichi's features don't remind me much of L, but he's got the attitude down.

Haha, I will not be influenced because I have seen very few, if any Japanese movies. I'm really a big wuss (read; can't watch the scene in the Little Mermaid when Tritan gets mad and trashes the room)when it comes to scary movies, and that seems to be what what gets imported/adapted here.

It's not a Japanese movie, Chairman Kaga is the host of Iron Chef. On the Food Network daily since, oh, forever.
