erg

Note to self: not having any caffeine after 3PM and drinking 2 glasses of wine = waking up with migraine. ARG.

And I had a little bit of something-or-other in my mouth so I dreamed I was walking through clouds of midges and they kept getting into my mouth. And there was something about my mother in an SUV on the back porch making the house tilt to the side, and BPAL making specialized cereals, and small vicious pink lizards that would attack and eat larger red lizards and then in turn get attacked and killed by wasps. Yeah, I dunno either.

Have to work today from noon til 5. ENTERTAIN ME.

I saw that! You are truly a BNF now! XD And man, although I hate the constant repetition everywhere of "You can see worse than that on the DD" ... you can see worse than that on the DD. I think some mod's got a stick up their ass at the moment, maybe even got told to crack down on stuff.

I haven't done a good troll for ripped art through the Browse recently ... it was always a good feeling to report people claiming others' art for their own. Maybe I'll do that at work today.

It's always great to hit the ones who claim to be doing digital painting when they're merely photomanipping a Harry Potter cast member (it's always Harry Potter, for some reason). And who didn't bother to take down the REALLY CRAPPY art in their gallery, showing the discrepancy in ability.

There's someone on my watch list who I have doubts about some parts of the paintings (original subjects, not HP) - some bits of them seem photomanipped, or using really heavy reference, in the draw-over-the-top kind of way, although I know that there's a lot of painting that's original, too. So it's hard to say. It's not the sort of thing to report them for - far too much original work and talent, I think - it's more on the order of the person not mentioning that they're using photographs in this way.

But I could easily be wrong, hence my reluctance to say anything to anyone, because I don't want to accuse someone of doing something they're not. XD (I really started wondering after another person who started art about the same time they did complained about how fast the suspect improved while they stayed the same.)

See if your library has a copy of Dogsbody. It's by Diana Wynne Jones (Howl's Moving Castle), in the YA section. I had it as a kid and liked it,and my librarian friend happened to find it for me again based on my sketchy description of the story. I think you would find the Child of Earth entertaining. (This is, of course if you haven't already read it, but I know a while back you asked about books to read.)
