BPAL review: Midwinter's Eve
Midwinter's Eve 2005
BPAL description: From the LE - Yule 2005 collection. Revisited! A melancholy, deep scent, poignant and brimming with nostalgia. The perfume of sugared plums over a breeze of winter flowers.
In vial: Sweet and darkly fruity.
Wet: The plums recede quickly, and something else - presumably the winter flowers - comes out.
Dry: Faint plums.
Notes: Cat not impressed. Wants scritching, not smelling. ETA She returned and started liking it. I guess the top notes had to dissipate. XD This went to a cardboard odor like apricot does, but then rebounded and the plum came back, and now it's settled into a subtle, light plum. It's nice, but just not me.
