[Note: spelling & punctuation are more horrid than usual because I'm cutting-and-pasting from my PDA memo book, where I kept these notes. I typed them using a ThumBoard to enter the text, which is basically like a text-messaging pager, which means that fat fingers type weird things. And it took me a while to get the hang of the shift button on it. I got much better over the course of the month. Man, I really look like
jason_cs, don't I?]
went to st. Alkmunds or whatever its called. Met a local parishoner whpo liked to talk and who told us about lots of its history. The localcouncil in the 18th century voted by one vote to tear down the maoin medieva part and replace it. He called them crooked. He showed us a 'dickensian' window that they were petitiopning to be fixed. The congrewgation is sahrinking and aging, only about 20 or so left. They want to close it but the english heritage people say it will be about a million pouinds to fix up and the parish says it has to be given another use oin keeping with it and noi one has any ideas yet.
Trhe hotel is quaint rather than lovely ans we're on the top floor of course.the 4th floor in america, the 3rd floor here. Very loud because iuts on the maion road and next to trhe train station where locals from the surrounding areas come in to party.
Said hi at work today. Nice spiffy setup for scanning. They also want me to write captions for pics. There's only one scanning guy now since trher's been personnel rearrangement and Helen told Charlioe that I'd keep him from going crazy by himself down there and they sharewds a Significant Look, which makes me really nervous. They all seem nice, though.
Also went to the Regimental Museum at the old castle an saw a wedding. 0lan on going to the Blists Victorian Village, which is a Victorian recreation thing.
