In progress
(This was composed last night, but my connection dropped before I could post it, and didn't get back up, so I decided to just go to bed instead. Read 'yesterday' for 'today' and 'today' for 'tomorrow'. XD What, me edit? Insanity!)
In-progress shot ofthe cat the apartment rearrangement.
The cat spent most of the day totally freaked out - I was moving large objects and making things Different, the UPS man came by, and two strange men dropped off large boxes, and THEN the apartment blower man came by outside the window and blew leaves and THAT was JUST NOT RIGHT.
But she got in her box and all was right with the world.

The UPS man dropped off a Snuggle Safe Heat Pad, which is a hard plastic thing you nuke for 4 minutes which holds heat for a while. You can put it under the cat's bedding or something to keep them warm. It took her a while to discover it, but now that she has, she is glued to it. XD I was moving the TV and running cable around and behind things and scraping plugs against the wall and making all sorts of weird noises that normally would have her freaking out and running everywhere, but she is on that warm spot and is not gonna leave it. XD
This gif is from earlier, when she was surveying the apartment in between bouts of freaking out.

The new arrangement for the futon and loveseat:

A start on the Wall o'Books - I've got 3 bookcases in my car to haul in and put together this weekend.

The Desk. Covered in books that I'm in the process of moving around from bookcase to bookcase. It was amazingly simple to put together. The dresser is in that big box on the floor that's partly ripped open - it's more complicated and I decided to work on it tomorrow.

I could find plenty of heating pads that you plug in, but Mom's cat likes to chew on telephone wires and I wasn't about to get her a pad with a live wire running to it, and although my cat has shows no signs of chewing on wires, I figured better safe than sorry. They stay warm for a really long time, especially if the cat is on it.

And the Snuggle Safe thing? I've added it to my Amazon wishlist. Cache gets soooo cold sometimes - he never bulks up properly - result of bad nutrition when he was a stray, and he has problems retaining body heat. I think he'd LOVE this.

The Snuggle Safe thing is wonderful - causes cats to realize that if they could only get the hang of opposable thumbs, they wouldn't need you at all! XD

I think our office desks came through Eurway, or at least we shopped there at the time.

We just keep adding to them. We are actually now out of wallspace for more bookshelves. (And we live in a 2700 sq ft home *facepalm*)

I think the only way I'll be able to get new living room furniture is if we move to Florida, where the stuff we have will suddenly look VERY heavy and weird :D
