Goku doesn't have much sense of self-preservation, obviously. I can just imagine Sanzo's reaction to a kitten. A grown and well-mannered cat he might be willing to tolerate, but that one's at the "brainless, bumbling ball of mischief" stage if I know cats at all. XD
