Yup, shadows add a lot to a picture. :) The first time, I was attempting to use gradations in the shadows, and then to soften the edges, which looks better in high-res, but I had a hard time using the gradation tool and gav eup. :)
:D I was experimenting with using gradations to tone the shadows in teh first one, and softened the edges, which ended up sort of oggy in the low-res version, but I got tired of it and couldn't work out where else to put shadows, if I wanted to minimize them as much as possible, and had a ahrd time using the gradation tool to put 'em in, so gave up. :D
Looking further, I can define why. The first one the shading seems to follow and accentuate her conturs and pose more; the curve of her breasts, the tilt of per pelvis, and the angle of her head are better portrayed. The second one wins from the thighs down, though.
