For some strange reason, all of the Beeb's Doctor Who releases are at ridiculous prices: if it's any consolation, the complete run of Blackadder is at the same blasted price. From what I understand, it's all about political battles between the crew in BBC America and the rest of the corporation, so don't expect things to get any better soon.
I got my Blackadder for somewhat less (don't rememer the exact amount), although still comparatively expensive, due to a sale at a local video store. I think I'll be poking around Deep Discount DVD and seeing what else I can find. (I'm also due a $30 gift certificate at Best Buy as a partial rebate for a monitor, so it may go into the Buy Doctor Who Fund.)
ouch guys i feel sorry for u all especially as it is less than £50 in England, in this situation i would probably resort to breaking the law if i were you but ah well. :D

But yikes! The price!
Then again, I am told the Tom Baker collection I got as a gift was pricey enough to be dealt off the street. XD

If I had a region-free DVD player I'd think seriously about it, but as I didn't boether with that when I was getting one, the question is moot anyway.
I've got the downloaded versions so I don't have to leap onto the DVD set first thing and can wait for a good sale somewhere.
