And a bit more, plus a few Africa photos. XD

I was scanning in a couple of photos of myself in Africa and hit on the idea to use one of the pics on the Perception Labs site.

My dad, with a malevolent spirit lurking behind him, to compare with the masculinized photo from the previous entry

My mom, from the same trip to the field, for the hell of it. Malevolent spirit lurking in front.

It's all about MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

I really can't believe how blonde and blue-eyed I was. Dark brown (dyed dark red XD), and a muddy hazel-green now. The lower-right picture, Mom says, is the only time my hair ever looked good. She reports it was very messy and tangled all the time, and when I expressed a vague desire to cut it, she gladly seized the scissors and hacked it off with glee, thus dawning the Pageboy Era.

THE #1 REASON I AM COOLER THAN YOU

*I* have a signed photo of me with Marlin Perkins, AND YOU DON'T!

The fluffy-haired blonde is Erin MacNaughten, one of our neighbors on the research station.

*snerk*

Jim and the crew came in a few days beforehand to film - I don't remember if it was elephants or giraffe - and Perkins flew in, filmed his bits for a few hours, and flew out again the same day.

that is cool. The Botticelli version looks nice.

I've tried it with a pic post-bangs and one with bangs. They both don't do well - most of the faces don't even look human - but the bangs one did better.

Thanks. XD The kid pictuer turned ut much better than the adult, but it was a higher resolution and a better photo all-around, so that's to be expected.

But turning out to resemble my dad in that one was totally unexpected.

That tears it. You were born to be a Botticelli. Also, your kid hair and my kid hair were totally evil twin demons. Mine stayed blonde, but it's thickened up to be somewhat less tangly, though I'm glad bedhead styling is apparently "in."

XD I can deal with being a Botticelli.

My hair is somewhat tamer now, but requires strict supervision otherwise it tends to go stringy and frizzy. Bedhead is a godsend.

"Tonight on Mutual of Omaha's _Wild Kingdom_, we seach for the elusive African Telophase. This rare creature is as deadly as it is beautiful..."

I just got the comment notification for this one, and I know I answered it long and long ago, but damn if it's isn't still a funny line. XD
