I watch a lot of YouTube at the moment. Turns out the luxury real estate business turned to virtual showings with the pandemic, and if you're an Italian luxury real estate agency, you have a decent proportion of 16ht and 17th century dwellings, which fits right in with what I'm writing, since I work better with visuals in my head. Of course, this means YouTube thinks I'm interested in all luxury real estate...
YouTube, for both ghost video aggregators (Nuke's Top 5 is our favorite) and travel videos (mostly of Japan -- we're fond of Solo Solo Japan and Virtual Japan).
I find the comment section is kind of a mixed bag because so many people on there will go off spinning tedious fantasies of "but what if XYZ" based on basically no concrete information, but the actual AAM column itself tends to be really fun (if hair-raising) reading.
I was reading the comments today on the one about the employee taking off vacation and someone was seriously arguing that combining all sick, vacation and personal into one big PTO pot was better and...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Their reasoning was that managers wouldn't have to ask about why you were taking off but (a) it doesn't work that way and (b) that means catching COVID or the flu could wipe out a vacation you'd planned and paid for already. Among many other things.
