I email myself notes when I'm unable to put them in the proper place, so they sit in my inbox until I get around to doing something with them. And quite often the notes are about what I'm writing. Which is why I keep startling myself by scanning my email and seeing the excerpt "Need to fix murder charge."

I used to do that to myself too (email writing notes to myself and then be startled by Out of Context Theater).
