I'm taking a short break from finishing the picture I'm working on. My eye fell on the album of photos from our years in Africa that my mother sent home with me last time I saw her, and I figured I'd prove to you guys that I had Mello hair as a kid because I have no life:

The thing I'm standing next to is a pangolin - it's a type of scaly anteater. That's it's butt towards the camera - like most scaly/spiky mammal-type things, it tend to curl up when it feels threatened, so it had its head tucked in.

It was originally longer, and then I got this major desire for bangs, so my mom cut them, and then Mom got tired of my hair tangling, so she started periodically whacking it all off above my shoulders. XD

:D Yeah, it's a fairly basic pageboy cut that Mom did so she could take care of it easily, and I had it until I was in ... fourth grade or so? Up to the time I started taking control of my own style, at least. My hair started darkening in second grade and looking at me now you'd never realize I was once a platinum blonde. XD

Her hair is now curly and strawberry blonde. Mine is...short.
