myrialux and I have subscribed to the smallest monthly Universal Yums snack box since December (h/t to

yhlee), and have ordered directly from their shops a couple of times.

The thing that has most surprised me was a thing I ordered on a whim (one of those "If you buy $X more you'll get free shipping!" deals). I threw in an order of fried egg and sea salt chips. I wasn't expecting a whole lot because, honestly, I don't much like flavored chips beyond salt and vinegar, but...

So. You know, when you're frying an egg in butter and the edge of the white gets those fantabulous little crispy bits? THAT'S IT. THAT'S EXACTLY IT. Somehow the makers of these chips nailed that. I'm not sure which country the chips come from since they don't say it on the webpage and I am on campus for work now, not at home where I can go ~~EAT~~ check our last remaining bag, but it's a Spanish-speaking country going by the subtitle on the bag.

In conclusion: YES.

No idea how they managed to nail that flavor, but they did! Man, I love eggs.

I've been contemplating various snack boxes, but this might get me to try theirs.

Of the snack boxes we've tried (not many, really), Universal Yums has been the best. Even if we don't like the things in it, they're at least interesting.
