A few weeks back I was looking (and getting extremely frustrated because I wasn't finding) for photo reference to do a landscape photobash of the city that's in the Thing Wot I Wrote a Year Ago. I eventually found some that were sort of what I needed.
It is, naturally, nothing like the image in my head. :/ Which to be fair is mostly in bits and pieces and not one cohesive whole. Anyway, the gorge that the river/falls forms should be deeper, as in farther back from the camera so that the city drives back away from you and isn't quite so rounded as it appears here.
Also, the houses should all look way more medieval with the fancier houses reminiscent of Venetian palazzos. And the mountains are really further away, but oh well.
I think it's good enough so that when I eventually commission another environment designer, I can hand it off to them and go "It's sort of like this."

There should also really be more buildings and bridges, but after putting in over 50 different layers I got supremely fed up with it and decided to quit layering. XD
