This is related to my previous post, where I ask if anyone can find stock photos that match a set of characteristics. I am so frustrated right now that I can't find a damn thing like I need.

The Lanzarote Coast in the Canary Islands has a decent amount of curly coastline and beaches that slope down from high-ish bluffs that I might be able to use, but can I find a SINGLE DAMN ONE where the photographer bothered to hire a boat and go out to photograph it from the direction of the ocean? NO.

Does it have to be sandy beaches? South Korea has a lot of interesting coastline and there might be something there but we have rocky beaches, not sandy ones from what I recall.

Nope! Whatever beach there is will be covered with housing in the end product anyway. (This is Belnesse, in case you hadn't noticed. XD)

I'm really bad at understanding geography but are these remotely in the ballpark, or are the characteristics too wrong?

The first one is in the general ballpark, but ideally the camera would be shooting it from the direction of the ocean--from the surface, like the photographer is on a boat, or a little bit above like they're using a drone to shoot, but not a full aerial shot looking directly down on it.

I've got an aerial-view sketch in the comments on the previous post, if that helps. I keep trying to sketch out what I mean, or photobash what I mean but I can't get it: the problem is that if I could sketch or photobash it with what I've got, I wouldn't need to be asking. ARGH

(See, this shows you that what you see in your head IS NOT HELPFUL when trying to sketch it out.)

I know these last ones have buildings in them but they're shot from the sea angle?

Dammit, if Ara's Korea trip were still happening anytime soon, I'd suggest that she and my sister and my mom get on a ferry and Ara could take you some shots, because it's only an hour or two down to the coast and I'm positive there has to be SOMETHING in the vicinity of what you need, but given the pandemic...

This isn't near it, either, but it's slightly better? Other than not being the greenery-covered hills of the Amalfi Coast.

I took this photo with the gracefully curved shoreline and attempted to make it look a bit more like the wide mouth of a deep gorge driving back into the hills.

edit: The water part will be circular because it's a crater (I don't need the ref photos to have that), and the flatter triangle of land/sand/beach/whatever between the water and where the gorge walls start rising up is covered in warehouses, docks and other buildings anyway.

Also, this photo of Santorini isn't looking directly into the bay, but it's taken from a plane or drone and not from a neighboring cliff. That's the general direction I'm looking for in a ref photo.

Also, possibly may be too much work for what you're envisioning, but is this the kind of thing that an environment builder like Terragen might be useful for??

That depends on how long it takes me to learn it and how frustrated I get with it. :/ I'll look into Terragen, but I'm not optimistic.

Late, but I was listening to a podcast talking about Tasmania, and they described land that rises sharply from beaches, so perhaps that's another keyword?

That first image is very close! That's the sort of landscape I'm looking for, with the cliffs coming down to the shore. I deally I'd find a picture taken from the sea. XD
