I feel sort of sorry for my friends here in San Antonio who are into knitting. They can wear the items they knit for, what, three whole days out of the year?

One of them did knit a really cool scarf, though. It's made with black and neon green yarn, somehow knitted together in such a way that from one angle, it's a simple black-and-green stripe pattern, but from another angle, the head of an alien shows up in the pattern.
