Amazon is rolling out a new feature called Book Clubs, which as far as I can tell is a discussion board that you can talk about books on, and do some admin stuff like suggest books (from Amazon, natch) for the club to talk about. Right now it's in beta and anyone can join but only some people can create.

I have, for some inexplicable reason, been chosen as one of the ones to create. I don't even remember how I found out--I think I was browsing late one night and got the option to suggest a book for a book club, thought "What's that?" and clicked on the link.

Anyone else here know about it?

Interesting! I also appear to have club creation permissions. I'll have to poke!

Haven't heard about it. Although they did offer me a Star Trek t-shirt of the month (blind, of course).

They sent me a "create your club" email. Despite my inner marketer telling me to set one up a sales mechanism, I don't expect to do anything with it.
