Cat question

So the new D.Va kitty loves to chew on rubbery/plasticky things, most
recently the rubber-ish mat the treadmill sits on. We’re worried about her
swallowing bits of things, of course, and are wondering if anyone knows of
good chew toys for cats?

We have some bitter spray, but it worked for about 24 hours and then I
discovered she’d chewed up even more of the mat. :/

Not a chew toy but maybe a food puzzle would redirect the behavior? That (and more playtime plus Feliway) has helped Riza since Mei passed.

Another idea might be cat grass, though some cats would overeat it and vomit. I’ve never been able to keep it around.

Maybe look at puppy chew toys for tiny breeds? She won’t be able to get bits off of them, even though they’re generally made of fairly soft rubber. Perhaps a Kong Puppy Teething Stick in extra small?

Maxi-cat used to completely destroy cat toys within a few hours, so we started buying him dog toys instead because they lasted considerably longer. We usually get these rope toys made by Pet London. These are some examples.

However, it looks like they might be difficult to get outside of the UK, and possibly quite expensive (for something that's gonna get destroyed), but you might be able to find something similar locally and/or for less? Also, a US-based friend recommended 'fresh breath mint sticks' made by Petstages. Apparently her cats love them.
