Got hit up by a recruiter on LinkedIn for the first time. They're looking for a research librarian for a client who wants 4+ years of law library experience. Guess what I don't have on my resume? (Not that I'm looking for a job.)

(I know recruiters often don't actually look at the resumes of the people they contact, and just hit everyone in the vague direction of the industry. [personal profile] myrialux has gotten many, many contacts about jobs that have nothing to do with his skillset.)

My favorite recruiter was the one who called me about an associates-level position in El Paso after I ignored the emails. My response: "A. I have a masters B. that's closer to Los Angeles than where I am now."
