So in an attempt to not contribute as much to the Amazon economy as we have been, we've started ordering things we can get elsewhere from other sites instead of Amazon.
The past 3/5 times, they still arrived via Amazon truck.
I don't know about the most recent one because I just saw the truck on the doorbell video, but the others arrived in Amazon packaging. I don't know if Amazon gives independent companies boxes with their logo on it.
The latest one was from Best Buy. I haven't looked to see if they've been acquired by Amazon.
edit: I just checked the video and the delivery guy is also wearing an Amazon shirt.
There's a complicated outsourcing and multiple-outlet thing going on, where sellers have their own sites, use eBay, use Amazon, use I-don't-know-what, but they somehow are routing all the sales through one location (Amazon has the infrastructure I guess) for fulfillment. I've received books I bought from independent sellers online in Amazon packaging.
