*sigh*

So in an attempt to not contribute as much to the Amazon economy as we have been, we've started ordering things we can get elsewhere from other sites instead of Amazon.

The past 3/5 times, they still arrived via Amazon truck.

Are they those independent shipping companies owned by individuals and so they just have an Amazon logo because that's most of their business?

Never mind, I have no idea! I was hoping, anyway.

There's a complicated outsourcing and multiple-outlet thing going on, where sellers have their own sites, use eBay, use Amazon, use I-don't-know-what, but they somehow are routing all the sales through one location (Amazon has the infrastructure I guess) for fulfillment. I've received books I bought from independent sellers online in Amazon packaging.
