New blog post!

I got a new blog post on my book cover website. For which I made several terrible cover examples. :)

7 mistakes of amateur book cover designs.

(p.s. if you get the wild hair to link to this blog post, plz to link directly to the blog post above and not this DW entry. it'll help me more that way. thankyou!)

BTW, ILU for using Weis & Hickman's Time of the Twins as an example. (But yes, that's a great cover, and I love that art. You do you, dramallama Raistlin, you do you!)

Raistlin was...surprisingly formative when it comes to wizards in my mind.

At least as formative is *sheepish* Kethry. She of the ridiculously "no homo" Tarma and Kethry duology by Mercedes Lackey.

But none of them were as formative as Polgara.

I...oh dear. /flees

I actually really love Tarma and Kethry despite the parts that haven't aged well. Like, I reread the first book of the duology about a year ago and was surprised at how much rape there was in it! I read that book in middle school!!! I had no idea!!!

I remember Raistlin and Polgara with great fondness. *g* You're not alone!
