Convention runners?
Is there someone around who has experience with running SF-type cons who
can cast an eye over something I’ve written up for work?
Context is that a colleague and I are attempting to get a small con-type
event going and we have interest from another campus administrative
department who may give us some financial and logistical assistance, who
have asked us to write up our ideal event and list what we need to put this
event on.
Our first event, if it happens, will be a small one-day event focused on
campus, but if it’s a success we’ll try to expand it to a full weekend and
advertise it more off-campus.
I’m meeting with our library committee on Tuesday and nine of them have
been con staff heads before so I’d like someone with that sort of
experience to let me know if I’ve forgotten anything.
