Website update!
Just to say that my cover design website is newly updated and live!
[temp edit on Thursday evening: if it's down, that's because
myrialux is doing some jiggery-pokery with it right now.]
[edit again: we accidentally blocked our OWN IP address and it took an hour to figure out how to fix it. sigh.]
The contact form doesn't work yet because we need to get the new hosting provider's* SMTP setup configured/turned on/something before it'll send outgoing mail. OK, technically it works, and it puts the form info into the database so I can see it, but it doesn't notify me that someone's left a message.
Fingers crossed, I think it's working now! Woo!
I went ahead and took the maintenance notice off because it got linked elsewhere and I wanted people to see the new pretty site. :D
* I like Dreamhost and am keeping it for all my other random websites, but it's pretty slow because I have the cheapest of their hosting plans, and as this is an official business now, I'd like the website to load faster, as that's one of the myriad of variables Google uses to push sites higher in their search results rankings. Moving over to DigitalOcean makes more financial sense, especially because I live with someone who can act as sysadmin, than throwing 3x or more the cost of DO to DH for a virtual private server, which DH would reeeeeeeally like me to buy.

(One of the next things on my list is to buy one of the cheaper ad slots at SMTB...and I noticed a familiar cover there when I was looking at the site the other day! XD)

I've been doing one in release months - it's hard to measure clickthrough, but it seems to help a bit, and I like supporting the site.
(And unlike basically any other ad, it is entirely predictable: you pay your money, it cycles through, you get a report in email with impressions and clicks.)

I should probably add a "Where did you hear about me?" field to the form so I know where I can concentrate my efforts.

(Also had a question for you, so!)

Very nice! I enjoyed clicking around it, and my role test as an imaginary author proved that the answers are easy to find.

(Okay, the nitpicker has a bug report: the "Pricing & Services" button is covering some text. I'm on Chrome. Also saw it on MS Edge.)

That button seems to be bugged a bit, and occasionally shows up on top of the text and then if I reload the page, it pops back down to normal. I've got to figure out whyyyyy it's doing that.
(I just discovered that Gmail suddenly decided to send some emails to spam so I've been ignoring someone for two weeks while wondering why he never replied to my emaiL! Argh!)
