Help me pick the best pieces for my portfolio

I'm revamping my cover design website and I want to winnow down the number of images in my cover portfolio. Because I keep going "Well, but this one shows off my [...]", it's kind of hard to winnow them down further than they are now. So I'm asking y'all. :)

Can you give me a list of the ones on this page (more will load as you scroll down) that you think are my strongest design work?

A note: please do not say which ones are WORSE as some of the authors actually read this blog and I would prefer none of them be called out. Thanks!

I'd pick the ones that show the widest range. To my eye, that's Hoarders, Rebel, Firefighter Phoenix, It Happened.

As one of those authors, I would be totally fine with having only one of mine on your sample list (I mean, I'd be fine with none of them, because I understand web design and not overwhelming people with stuff, and all that. But I wouldn't even blink if you went to one of them.)

The covers that caught my eye most were Outcrossing, Goblin Fruit, and Cup of Smoke. I'd also include as some kind of collaged/box shot set the 4 Rachel/Sherw0od books and as another set the two Flights of Love book, The first Torchship Captain (red helmet, green eyes) as a stand-alone, Senrid, and one each of the different romance tropes (ie: bare-chest-and-abs with and without animal, het couple, same sex couple, brooding pair, embracing pair, smoldering gaze guy*). You might also put up the Anna Adams and the Hartman to round out your range of offerings?

*Specifically: Spirit Bear, Vampire Werewolf, Dino Rancher, Dragon Sun, Protector Panther, Gambling on my Step)

The Vampire's Werewolf Bodyguard (which is really tempting me to read it - any good?)

They cover a good range of styles.

I just couldn't tell whether the lines were whip antennae or "zoom lines," so that worried me a bit, thinking of it as an example.

agreed with sherwood that you want a range of different-looking covers that are also awesome; these are my picks for that. :) you probably also want to show at least one series so people can see that you can do series covers in a consistent style?

You can winnow it down by reducing the number in series. I think you do want to show that you can do a series, but you don't need more than 3 to show that. I'd also group the series in a row together so that can easily be seen.

Firefighter Phoenix, Firefighter Unicorn, Master Shark's Mate.
Vampire Werewolf, Sun Dragon, Dragon Sun.
