So there's this obscure musical nobody cares about...
I am still shaking from the adrenalin, but I have Hamilton tickets for the touring company that comes to town in april/May. Ticketmaster was doing the special Verified Fan signup to offer them and I didn't get into the first round, and after I saw all the markups on StubHub I assumed I wouldn't get in, but I think they were squirting the authorizations out in small batches to avoid the servers going down, and I got mine an hour after sales opened. And then I had problems because I didn't realize that not allowing 3rd party cookies was going to FUBAR the experience, but once I figured that out, I was able to grab tickets for me, Toby, and Mom. And I even got them on the aisle! (I get claustrophobic when stuck in the middle of a row of seats.)
I mean, I am not as invested in this show as some people I know eyes f-list but the process of getting the damn things fired me up.
So now I get to see what all the fuss is about.

(They do seem to be a decent job at getting tickets out in moderately sensible ways.)

Yeah, it's nice that the servers aren't slammed, but you'd think they'd TELL us that they'd be sending them out in rounds. I got an email last night that I'd been waitlisted and should additional tickets become available they'd text me, so I assumed that I wouldn't actually be able to get any. If I'd gone to lunch early and not been near a computer when I got the text, I'd have been seriously ticked off!

Yeah, I'm still kicking myself about that. And I still haven't seen it. D:
I'd really like to see it because it's different, ya know? Although it's kind of not now. (But they are good with trying to get regular folk in to see it. I appreciate that.)
