(I mentioned to S that I was in Venice a few years back.)

One favorite memory: went to the top of the bell tower. I was several days into the vacation, so had adjusted to time zones and not being at work.

So it was overcast but clear, and a nice view: boats crisscrossing the lagoon, great views all around. Just a general ~mmmm~ feeling. And then, from a yacht zipping by: "opa GANGNAM style!" And if I could hear it perfectly from the top of the bell tower, you know what it must've sounded like on the water.

LOL - first I was like, "whut?" and then I started laughing.

Hahahaha! We had a few boats zipping by the apartment playing music loudly—a couple with the equivalent of car ground effects, with purple lights installed under the outboard motor—but none playing anything we recognized, and none quite THAT loud!
