Spinning!

I'm getting better at keeping the width consistent (ish. Very ish.), although not so much at keeping the spin consistent.





The stick on the left is a nostepinne, used for winding yarn off of a spindle into a center-pull ball, while the stick on the right is a spindle bobbin, called a spurtzleur by the people I bought it from.

The yarn is made from merino wool dyed a variety of colors. The colors of the wool in that link are much darker and less varied than they are in real life--while the picture I took is a bit on the yellow side, you can see the variety in the two balls, which both came from the same hank, which ranges from a nice, soft pink to a dark reddish brown.
