Is the mechanism that makes more people stop at your table when you're standing the same one that makes people talk ouer the heads of people in wheelchairs?

I don't know that one, but I do know that standing works. When I was helping out at a table at New York Comic Con I wanted to sit so much but didn't because I got about 85% more people stopping when I stood while doing my barker thing.

I've always been told that when you're standing you look more like you're working. But it also might be that your eye contact is more 'on the level.'

In my case, some people told me that part of what drew them over was the flash of my gunmetal silver nails as my hands did sweeps over the table. I can't underestimate the lure of the shiny. *g*
