so the patio furniture we ordered is theoretically on a FedEx truck to be delivered today...the FedEx website says we're getting a single package 12" x 12" x 9" that weighs 3 pounds.
...well, if it's assemble-it-yourself and no single piece has any dimension longer than a foot (or, just plausibly, 12 * sqr(2) in, with the other dimensions of that piece much smaller), that computes. But in absence of specific information about what you ordered, those are two kinda big if's. Not that I need the specific information, but.
