Skyrim!

So the remastered version of Skyrim is now out on the PS4. We bought it yesterday and let it download and install last night so I could play it today. It's also out on the PC, for free if you bought all the DLC previously, and Toby discovered it unlocked early so he started his FOURTH run. This time his character is specializing in one-handed weapons, but I predict she's going to end up a sneaky character doing one-handed because he always goes sneaky.

Anyway, I can't port my PS3 saves over, so it's bye-bye Murderface, alas. But given that I hadn't been playing him much because almost every time he went out he was attacked by an ancient dragon that was above his pay grade that killed him horribly, perhaps not much of a loss. Ah well.

The big question now is: what sort of character am I going to build for my new run? I shall not be writing it up because it was getting rather tedious to make notes while I was playing, so you're all spared that (unless something particularly funny happens). But do I go really sneaky, or go full tank? Do I play a paladin or an ass? Murderface's twin brother or someone completely opposite him? Let me know your opinions!

(Also I stopped playing Skyrim quite so much because I started a replay of Kingdom Hearts II in preparation for the release of KHIII, but hey.)

I considered doing someone who had come across the border in search of Murderface, because Murderface owed him or her money. XD

I ended up making a lady orc tank named Jehane d'Arc specializing in heavy armor and sword and shield. We'll see if I stick with her or get bored and do something else. I think I'll do the full Companions questline to see where it goes.

Toby is on his FOURTH playthrough with a sneaky character! The only thing we agree on is that neither of us wants to do the main dragon storyline.

Heh--yes, the thing that kept me at hour ten of Skyrim and no more is the dragon storyline. I just don't care! And now I lack the necessary hard drive space to reinstall the game.

You can do quite a lot without doing the dragon storyline, though, so I'll see how far I can go first.

I'd forgotten that the Dawnguard DLC came pre-installed with the remastered version, and once when I teleported into Whiterun, a master vampire was there fighting the guards and a couple of civilians, and I managed to accidentally hit a guard during the fight, which pissed him off so he attacked me afterward. So I need to find the Intelligent NPCs mod, or an equivalent one that makes NPCs run away from a dragon or vampire attack.

On the bright side, the vampire killed Belethor, so I no longer have to listen to his smarmy salesvoice when I go into that shop. I hear Ysolda will take over Belethor's shop, so I need to find her a mammoth tusk to finish her quest. (I looted the key from Belethor's body--perhaps I can go in and steal one to give her.)
