It's actually pretty small--if you look at my latest post you can see a squirrel for comparison. I'm now thinking it may be a Bewick's wren. I know we've got one of those around here, and the coloring is much the same.

Rock wren I think if it's "small" in bird terms, juvenile probably? They should be local to you.
