BPAL review: Danube
Danube
BPAL description: From the Wanderlust collection. Rhododendron and bellflower petals swirl through deep, cool, dark aquatic notes.
Decided to try this one next to see if the "aquatic notes" referred to in Bayou were what was responsible for turning it into lotion on me. Nope, it seems.
In vial: Definitely cool, sharp, tart - there's something citrus-y about this, and it's something that I've cooked with, I think, but I can't name it - not any of the typical citrus fruits. I'm trying to remember if it's like the tart scent in Aizen-Myoo.
Wet: The tart scent alters a bit, but not really in a good way.
Dry: The tart scent fades a bit, but still isn't especially good.
Notes: The cat sniffed it, then went back to sleep. It's all blending together into a scent that just doesn't work. The harshest of the tart scent is gone, but the rest is hovering just this side of cardboard box. And it doesn't have that long of a life on me - it fades fairly quickly and leaves a subtle "meh" scent.
