The kitty was sleeping under the tree with care
In the hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.



Yes that is a box for puppy pads. Toby put his brother's present in it, and left it unwrapped because of course.



This is most of the tree:



That white splotch near the top is an angry owl ornament. You might also see a TARDIS if you look closely.

Vader, because of course. He served as our tree topper when we just had a 4-foot-tall tree.



And my current favorite ornament: the Christmas Anglerfish!

My vague goal for the foreseeable is to buy a few new ornaments each year, and in a few years we'll be able to get rid of the cheapo Target colored balls entirely and have a tree full of quirky ornaments that will, of course, clash horribly with each other. Christmas Anglerfish is one of this year's acquisitions.

That's the way I've built up my ornament collection, over years. The way it all works together is that it's all in my taste! (Also, if it's not at least somewhat tacky, it's not Christmas imo.)

We're going to do that with the outside decorations, too. (will post on that in a few days, when I finish a thing that I am working on.) Our house looks half-assed with the decorations, but those in the know will get it!
