BPAL description: Limited edition, fall 2004. Sweet pipe tobacco, cherry wood, the warm, worn leather of an easy chair and a pleasant, subtle waft of fireplace smoke. (Gender neutral)

In vial: Cherry pipe tobacco.

Wet: Cherry pipe tobacco.

Dry: The leather comes out more. Subtle, well in comparison to the wet scent. Still some cherry pipe tobacco. After a bit, the cherry asserts itself stronger for a bit, and then the smoke whiffs out.

Notes: Frimp with bottle of Spooky. Cat does NOT like it. Interesting. Very much not me, but interesting.

I wouldn't call it gender-neutral at all - it's very masculine to me, because it smells like a pipe-smoking professor wearing a tweed jacket with leather patches on the elbows. He probably wears a beard.



After decanting two imps for amphibiouswords and sophia_helix, I've got about one imp's worth of oil left in the bottle of Spooky. If you want it, speak up. Please - it's affecting me worse and worse every time I smell it and now lives in a ziplock bag.

I decanted it for the other two, and the bottle itself still smells strongly and has a few drops in it, so if you want that, I'll send it on.

I've already mailed that quarter-imp of Spooky on to Yoon. ;-) It started out quite nice on me -- smelled exactly like the description. Then came the celery. Well, it's not celery exactly, but some weird vegetable-y note that was really strong in Midway and totally ruined that one for me. It was much lighter here, but I knew it would bug me, so I sent Spooky on to a happier home.

Oooh, thank you! I don't remember if I ever told you what I have to trade or not, but I've March Hare, Dirty, and Lightning. I still need to try Scherezade and Grand Guignol, and I'll be placing an order in late October for Jack, Shanghai, Sea of Glass, Queen of Sheba, Hellcat, and Embalming Fluid.

If none of the ones I've tried appeal and you'd rather not wait for me to get and try my batch from the Lab, I can send you a check for this and Sudha Segara, or I can write you two poems.
