Zeus and Hera, the cardinal pair, raised a cowbird earlier this year and have now had a second brood, successfully raising at least one female chick, who is sporting both a hell of a crest and a hell of an attitude here.

In the 3 or 4 years we've been watching them, they've only raised 2 cowbirds and more cardinals, so I think they're ahead of the game!
