BPAL review: Brisingamen

Brisingamen

BPAL description: From the Love Potions collection. The amber necklace of Freyja, Norse Goddess of Love, Sex, Attraction and Fruitfulness. Her magnificent necklace was bough from four Dwarves [Alfrik, Berling, Dvalin and Grer] at the price of four nights of her passion. When Brisingamen graces your throat, no man can resist your charms. A glittering mantle of rich golden notes: five ambers, soft myrtle and apple blossom, myrtle, and carnation.

In vial: Sort of a floral, with a touch of fruit - apple or pear. Not cloying.

Wet: Light florals with a warm, golden base. Mmm.

Dry: It's getting a bit powdery, but a nice soft powder. The vanilla-y warm note is slightly harsher now.

Notes: We have a WINNAR!! FInally, after all this time of shoving my wrist in front of the cat to sniff ... we have a REACTION! I rubbed my finger on my wrist and presented it to the cat to smell … and she licked it! To test, I let her sniff another finger, which she licked once and then stopped, and the tried the original finger again, which got licked again. (...) And I just stuck my wrist in front of her face ... and she licked it. XD *My* reaction isn't quite so enthusiastic, but I like it. I don't think I'll rush out and buy a bottle - I already have too many bottles and will never wear them all - but I think I'll hang on to the imp and wear it.

It should be amended to read:

When Brisingamen graces your throat, no man cat can resist your charms.

I'm debating wearing it to work tomorrow to see if all the men in the library throw themselves at my feet. Probably not. I shall probably be followed by a pack of lovesick tomcats instead.

But do you really want everyone in the library to lick your arm? :D

(Awww, kitty.)

I think it obviously works even without being smelled. I got to work today and there was a small, mysterious package on my desk, wrapped in a piece of paper with a picture of a llama on it and the words "To Stephanie from exotic Canada". It was a small package of 75 logic puzzles. No word on who it's from or what it's for.

I'm assuming the Social Committee - it's typical of the chair's sense of humor - and this week is my one-year anniversary here. But that has not been confirmed. :)
