Two recent shots from the birdcam.
Bewick's wren from a week or so back. This guy bops around the yard on a regular basis, but I've never managed to capture it on film.

Carolina chickadee from today. Fun fact: I grew up calling these black-capped chickadees, because that's what my dad, who was a wildlife scientist with a specialty in birds (although not a true ornithologist) called them. It was THIS YEAR before I learned that black-capped chickadees don't live in this area but Carolina chickadees, which are almost identical, do.
