Well, okay, maybe not that juicy. And it's known to various people under lock. However, I am now going PUBLIC.

I have an ALTERNATE PERSONA. That ALTERNATE PERSONA is named AUGUSTA SCARLETT and I have a small side business in making ebook covers for, so far, cheap-and-cheerful easy-sleazy self-published romance ebooks. Woo! (I am quite willing to do ebook covers for non-romance ones! It's just that romance writers are the only ones I've made contact with so far!)

I was keeping it under wraps while Toby was looking for a job, but now that he's thoroughly ensconced into his new job, I am COMING CLEAN!

Anyway, I am also coming clean because I have finished about 85% of the website and (a) I would like people's opinions on possible questions I can answer in my FAQ as my inspiration has run dry and (b) I wanted to make sure it was publicly known that I am also Augusta Scarlett as I have swiped some of my paintings to use as examples of my work if anyone wants to commission a cover and I do not want anyone thinking that I am thieving from myself. :)

I am aware that there is fake Latin instead of an actual article under the bit that says "Articles." I actually need to write some first. (SEO--if the home page changes on a regular basis, it gets a higher rank in Google.) I'm also going to put more on the home page, once I figure out what else to put there.

Site looks good. Though my wife thinks the models on the "Bear" covers are no where near hairy enough to be bears. "Beards!"

(Turns out the fantasy this particular genre trope is addressing is physically large and powerful men whose entire attention is turned onto the heroine, with the animalistic elements are pretty much paid lip service to. It kinda drove me nuts when I was reading a book about lion shifters, as I kept going "But but but lions don't behave that way!" I'm getting used to the tropes, though!)
