Found out why we've been seeing more of the cardinals at the windowsill!
Cardinals eat mealworms!
We bought a container of dried mealworms to see what we could attract, and the answer is: cardinals. XD Perhaps the bluejay, too.
We first found a cake of dried, compacted mealworms and considered buying that, but we'd have to put up another pole to hang it from. Then we spotted the container of loose mealworms and figured we'd try that out to see what showed up.
