IT NEVER RAINS BUT IT POURS

Only think: once ConDFW ended, I had nothing to do and no obligations at home after work, so I spent a lot of time sitting around catching up on TV and reading. And now, I've got a costume to make, a painting and an ebook cover, and I'm working with a new paranormal romance author to make a few ebook covers for her*. Woo!

Not complaining by any means! Actually rather happy, as I'm saving up for a Cintiq Companion 2, due to be released sometime this year, and I've got a long way to go on that!

* Under an Assumed Name, actually, as Toby is currently sniffing around for new jobs, and I don't really want my legal name attached to fun-but-sleazy books that might be Googled by potential employers. Once he's either hired or has decided to stay at his current job, I'll connect my name and that name publicly. Toby thinks I'm being a bit paranoid, but YOU NEVER KNOW, HUH?

You never know. And since someone took it upon them to inform my then-temp-employer about a rant a client from hell has left on the internet - as in 'this person appears to be working for you, I found this about them, should you employ them' (which the recipient blithely forwarded in the usual outlook 'just forward' chain because it contained other stuff I needed to see) I consider these kinds of precautions as very sensible indeed, rather than than outcroppings of utter paranoia.
