Harrumph

I have a day off work due to an ice storm and I can't even enjoy it because I have a migraine. (I assume due to the change in air pressure overnight.)

On the bright side, my meds have kicked the pain down to mere pressure, instead of pain, so I can at least look at a computer monitor without causing intense pain, on the other hand I am now stoned* and about to fall asleep again.

My current goal in life is to stay upright and dick around on the intartubes until I can't keep my eyes open any longer, then go sleep. I believe this is an achievable goal.

* My current cocktail is a mix of half a promethazine, and hydrocodone. Doesn't always work, especially if I wait too long to take it, but for now it is.

I wonder if using f.lux on your computer monitor will help. It adjusts the monitor to warmer tones as the day wanes on (to simulate lamp light, as opposed to sunlight), so if your migraine has a light-based factor to it, that could help.

It's probably the only reason I'm able to get to bed at a decent hour. Just remember to turn it off when doing art on the computer or it'll screw your colors up

It seems to have more to do with projective light vs. reflective than with the color. (Although florescents, like the ones at work, make the pain worse while warm-toned CFLs seem to work like incandescents, so there's some sort of temperature thing going on there.)

It's mostly my iPad and phone that give me fits, because it's fairly easy to not sit at my home computer for a day or two, and I'd have to jailbreak the phone for sure to put f.lux on (and possibly the iPad?)
